Lion (Panthera leo)
The Western pride females and cubs have been moving around the Reserve this month. They travelled around the Fig tree plains and the Western airstrip area. The Tembe male has kept to himself this past month, walking his same roots marking his territory. The Western pride females were very successful hunters this month, sometimes killing two animals in one go. The Southern pride female and her three sub adult cubs are doing very well. They were spotted hunting a few times close to the grass fields on Izingwe plains due to the burnt areas providing green grass for antelope. The Dinokeng male is still roaming the whole Southern part of the Reserve.
